Indian Association for Research in National Income and Wealth [IARNIW] is an association of research workers in the field of national income & wealth, savings, capital formation, input-output tables, compilation of state/district domestic product and related economic aggregates. IARNIW is a registered non-profit institution.

The IARNIW seminars and conferences have served as effective platform for discussing the conceptualization and changes in the Indian System of National Accounts over the years. Thus the improvements in the system of national accounts, revisions of base years of constant price series, introduction of various macro-economic aggregates, savings, capital formation, consumption expenditure, public sector accounts, input-output tables, capital stock, disaggregated statements and developments of state income accounts were themes for critical discussions in the IARNIW.

Objective

To encourage, stimulate and undertake research in national income, wealth and allied fields

To hold seminars and conferences on problems in concepts, definitions and estimation of national income, wealth and allied topics

To undertake publication of research studies produced by the Association and also of papers presented at its conferences, seminars etc.

To consider such questions relating to the estimation of national income, wealth and related topics as may be referred to the Association by the Union or State Government

To establish fruitful contacts between the Association and foreign scholars and learned bodies working in similar fields
