SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES

IARNIW organizes conferences and seminars. So far 55 conferences / seminars have been organized.

The conference consists of technical sessions generally spread over two days. All the members are invited to attend the conferences. IARNIW provides a modest travel grant to members presenting papers in the conferences.

Call for Papers 37th Annual Conference of Indian Association for Research in National Income & Wealth (IARNIW) scheduled to be held on 7th & 8th March, 2019 at SMVD University, Katra, Jammu.

The Indian Association for Research in National Income & Wealth (IARNIW) is pleased to announce its 37th Annual Conference to be held in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU),Katra, Jammu during March 7-8, 2019.

The active participation of a large number of official statisticians from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Reserve Bank of India and other institutions who are involved in the compilation of the National Accounts Statistics along with economic analysts makes this conference a truly unique platform for discussions on national income, wealth and allied fields.

This year the conference will focus on the following topics:

  1. Employment Perspective,
  2. Regional Accounts-use of sub-national regional accounts,
  3. Issues on Measurement of Finance,
  4. Price and Inflation,
  5. Goods and Service Tax and its Impact,
  6. Digital Economy,
  7. Sustainable Development- Blue Economy,
  8. Issues and Measurement of Telecom Sector.

Submission of Abstract and full Paper:

Abstract of not more than 250 words is to be sent to iarniw99@gmail.com and svr.murthy@nic.in by 20th January, 2019. Names of Authors of accepted papers will be notified/communicated by 25th January, 2019 and given an opportunity to present the paper at the conference.

Upon selection Full and complete paper would be required to be submitted by 10th February, 2019. For co-authored papers, person who will present the paper at the conference should be clearly indicated. The Association will bear the cost of travel by train and stay for the paper presenter only. Selected papers will be published in Journal of Income and Wealth with print ISSN no. 0974-0309.

About the Association: The Indian Association for Research in National Income & Wealth (IARNIW) is a non-profit society, registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, as extended to the NCT of Delhi. The Society was set up in 1964 on the recommendation of the National Income Committee, which was headed by Prof.P.C.Mahalanobis.
