Rohit Maurya is an Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer of 2010 batch. At present, he is working as Joint Director in National Accounts Division of Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI).He is primarily handling the tracking of various indicators of the economy, released by different Ministries/Departments of the Union Government, Industry Associations, and Chambers of Commerce etc. for the compilation and release of Advance and Quarterly Estimates of GDP.

Prior to this, he has served in National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) in various capacities and played a crucial role in digitalisation of various surveys conducted by NSSO.

He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). He is an avid reader. He has keen interest in varioussocio-economic subjects besides the National Accounts.
