Dr O.P. Mall is currently Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India. He has Master’s degree in statistics from Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, U.P., Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and Diploma in Development Planning and Policy from the Institute of Economic Growth, New Delhi. He is Executive Committee Member of Indian Association for Research in National Income and Wealth [IARNIW].

AS Executive Director in the Reserve Bank of India he is looking after the communication, financial stability, new frontiers, statistics and information management portfolios.

Dr Mall joined the Reserve Bank in 1988 and worked in the areas of prices, productivity, national income, business cycles and leading indicators, monetary policy, real time data, surveys as well as information management in banking, corporate finance, balance of payments statistics for meeting global standards and also published several research papers in these areas before moving to his present position.

He completed the course on Advanced Studies in International Economic Policy Research from the Institut für Weltwirtschaft, Kiel, Germany. He is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers
