Ankita is a Non-Functional Selection Grade “Indian Statistical Service (ISS) of 2006 batch. She is holding the post of Director in the National Accounts Division of National Statistical Office, India. She is heading a major unit of the division,which deals with the estimation ofGross Value Addition(GVA) from the Financial Sector and Non-Financial Non Departmental Enterprises.
After the successful completion of two years of mandatory Probationary training of ISS, She was posted in theField Operations Division (FOD), National Sample Survey Office, Ministry of Statistics &Programme Implementation, initially at its headquarter at New Delhi and later in the Regional Office of FOD at Lucknow. She was then posted in Ministry of culture for a short tenure.
Shehad a fairly long tenure of about six years in theResearch & Statistics [R & S] Wing of Directorate General of Income Tax (Logistics), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi.
The Research and Statistics Wing (R&S Wing) compiles and analyses the statistics based on progress reports and allied data sent by field offices of Income and corporate taxes. The statistics is being collected from the field establishments i.e. from the offices of Chief Commissioners of Income Tax (CCsIT)/Director Generals of Income Tax (DGsIT) and Commissioners of Income Tax (Appeals) (CsIT(Appeals)). Based on the statistics collected from the field establishments, the R&S Wing prepares various periodical reports which are used by the Central Board of Direct Taxes for monitoring & evaluation. The reports brought out by R&S Wing are meant for internal use of the Department only.
