Mr. K. G. K. Subba Rao worked in the Department of Statistics (presently called Department ofStatistics and Information Management-DSIM) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) since 1962 in various capacities and retired as Adviser in 1999. During this period, he was on duty with the Unit Trust of India (UTI) for about three years.
Mr. Subba Rao presented papers in Conferences of the Indian Econometric Society and IndianAssociation for Research in National Income and Wealth. He published over fifty papers in RBI Occasional Papers, Economic and Political Weekly and Journal of Income and Wealth.
Mr. Subba Rao worked as Editor of Journal of Income and Wealth and presently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal. He was a member of several Committees, which included RBI Inter Departmental Committees, Working groups of the NSSO while serving in the RBI, Sub group on unorganized financial Sector set up by the National Statistical Commission (NSC,2001), Committee on Financial Sector Statistics (2018) set up by the NSC. He has been Associated with the IARNIW for nearly three decades.
