- Dennis Rajakumar is presently serving as the Director of Economic and Political Weekly Research Foundation, Mumbai (since June 2014).
He received his Ph.D. (Economics) and M. Phil (Applied Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi through Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram. He was Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Research Fellow at The Management School, the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 2005. His research interests include applied macro economics, applied financial economics and studies of corporate sector in India. He has published several research papers.
Initially, Dr. Rajakumar worked for EPW Research Foundation as Research Officer in 2001-2002.
He served as an Assistant Professor at the Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship, Bangalore from 2002-2004. Then he associated himself with ICFAI Business School, Bangalore, as an Associate Professor and became Research Coordinator (2009-2011) and Associate Dean (Academics) from 2011-2012. Afterwards, he joined Alliance University, Bangalore as Professor of Economics for 2012- 2014.
Dr. Rajakumar is presently a Member of the Editorial Board, Journal of Income and Wealth since September 2019, and also was a member of Executive Committee, IARNIW, July 2015 to September 2019. He is also Co-Editor of THE MICROFINANCE REVIEW, published by Bankers Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow, since January 2015. He was the Consulting Editor for IUP Journal of Applied Finance, published by ICFAI University Press, Hyderabad, India, 2006- 2015.
